DAY 1:
ROME
Arrival to airport in Rome. Transfer from the airport and panoramic tour of the city: the Forum Romanum, Colosseum, Capital ... Accommodation in hotel. In the afternoon we stroll around the city between Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps and the Fontana di Trevi. Overnight.
DAY 2:
ROME - VATICAN - SIENA - FLORENCE
Breakfast. The first part is dedicated to the Vatican. We visit the cathedral of St. Peter and the Vatican Museum with Michelangelo's famous Sistine Chapel and the Angel's Castle. In the afternoon we continue to Siena. Siena is smaller and better preserved than Florence and for many it is even more fascinating than its nearest rival. Again you have the possibility to see all the major sights and have enough time for your own strolls. Evening arrival to Florence. Accommodation in hotel and overnight.
DAY 3:
FLORENCE - VENICE / LIDO DI JESOLO (B)
After breakfast we explore Florence. There is some walking as even vans are not allowed to drive inside the centre. We see the most important sights and leave you to decide where would you like to go (cathedral, baptistery, st. Lovrenc church, st. Cross church, Uffizi galerie, Old bridge ...). In the afternoon some free time until departure to Venice. Accommodation in hotel and overnight.
DAY 4:
VENICE/LIDO DI JESOLO - GRADO / SLOVENIA
After breaksfast we drive to Venetian Lagoon passing by Lido di Jesolo to Punta Sabbioni. The boat takes us to Murano Island from where first glassblowers of today's world known >Murano glass< origin. We are going to witness glass production and look at the collection of art products and jewellery. Free time for purchasing souvenirs. Then we take a boat and drive to Saint Mark´s Square - the main square considered as the center of Venice, with it´s main attractions and most important buildings: Doge's Palace, St Mark's Basilica, St Mark's Clocktower, the Procuratie Vecchie, Napoleonic Wing of the Procuratie, Procuratie Nuove, St Mark's Campanile and Loggetta, Biblioteca Marciana. The Piazzeta of San Marco is guarded by two patrons on columns - the lion of Saint Mark and Saint Teodoro of Amasea standing on a sacred crocodile of Egypt. Free time for sightseeing and shopping. Return boat trip to Punta Sabbioni. We drive to hotel. Accommodation and overnight.
DAY 5:
SLOVENIAN KARST - LIPICA - POSTOJNA - LJUBLJANA
After breakfast we drive to the Karst area in Slovenia. We visit the pršutarna Lokev where we get the experience how the famoust Slovenian ham - pršut is made. Pršut tasting with glas of local red vine Teran. We continue our journey to Stud Farm Lipica. More than four centuries nurtured Stud Farm tradition of breeding and selecting thoroughbred horses. Some free time to enjoy the nature. Next drive to the famous underground world of Postojna. Small train will take us through the cave and undergroud secrets. Drive to the capital city of Slovenia, Ljubljana. Accommodation in hotel and overnight.
DAY 6:
BLED - INNSBRUCK
After breakfast we drive to Slovenia's mountain area to the moust famoust lake in Slovenia, lake Bled. We are going to explore city of Bled, visit historical Bled castle with reception by a castle keeper. We will continue to Austria, into the alpine region of Tirol, which is a part of Austria. Tirol is associated mainly with skiing and mountaineering, but its capitol Innsbruck has some notable connections with one of the greatest dynasties of Europe - the Habsburgs. We will see some interesting sights like the golden roof and the life size statues of the Habsburg princes and kings in the Emperor's Maximilian's resting place. Accommodation and overnight.
DAY 7:
INNSBRUCK - SCHAFFHAUSEN - ZURICH - LUZERN
Breakfast. We drive to Germany. We will make stop on Lake Constance (Bodensee). We continue along the Rhine to the town of Constance on the shore of Lake Boden. You will see all the main sights, like the Council House where the Conclave was held in 1417, the towers and the Munster and the monument to Count Zeppelin, it's most famous son. The next stop is Schaffhausen on the river Rhine which is a pretty town which lies close to the Rheinfalls where you have time to go on a boat and get closer to the falls. We continue to Zurich which is "the other" capital of Switzerland - the bank capital. But it is also the biggest city in the country and has a nice position by the lake. The main sights are between Banhofstrasse, which is the main shopping artery and the river inlet called Limmat along the shores of which lies Grossmunster and other historic buildings. We end in Luzern. Accommodation and overnight.
DAY 8:
LUZERN - MONT PILATOS - GENEVE
After breakfast we explore one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland - Luzern. Panoramic tour of tour of the city at lake Vierwaldstatt, which was a birthplace of famous german composer, conductor, and theatre director Richard Wagner. In the afternoon we will see some interesting sights like the lion monument, cathedral, covered medieval bridge. Possibility to take gondola and rack railway to famous panoramic point Mont Pilatus. which offers a wonderful view to the substantial part of the Swiss Alps. We continue to the beautiful city of Geneve, which lies on the Lake with the same name. Accommodation and overnight.
DAY 9:
GENEVE - CHOCOLATE FACTORY - BASEL
After breakfast we continue with a sightseeing of Geneve. The city is known as the Red Cross founder, the League of Nations seat which was the predecessor of the United Nations, which still has a very important offices here like the seat of WHO - World Health Organization. The main sights are the Flower clock and the Waterjet. We take a beautiful short drive along the shores of Lac Lomond which will take us towards Montreaux and Vevey. We make a stop along the way in one of chocolate factories Maison Cailler in small city of Broc. We continue to Basel. Accommodation and overnight.
DAY 10:
GERMANY - AMSTERDAM
Breakfast. Full day driving through Germany. In the evening we arrive to Amsterdam. Panoramic tour and accommodation. Overnight.
DAY 11:
AMSTERDAM
Breakfast. We explore Amsterdam, which has a unique charm and mentality. We take a boat ride on the canals to see the city the way it was seen in the past when this was the more usual way to travel. We visit Coster Diamonds Factory where we learn about the secrets of craft and see some cheaper and more expensive specimens. In the afternoon we continue with sightseeing: the Dam, National museum and Van Gogh's, Anne Frank's, Begijnhof, the notorious Red District, the Flower market and the beautiful bridges and towers. Overnight.
DAY 12:
AMSTERDAM - ANTWERPEN - BRUSSELS
Breakfast. We drive to Antwerpen which used to be more important than Amsterdam but after the War of Religion, money and brains escaped further north and Amsterdam started to blossom. We visit the Rubens Museum and see the sights around the Cathedral, the City Hall and the river Scheld. We continue to Brussels. We see the beautiful old town with the famous Grand Place, Town Hall and Burgher's houses, the little side streets with restaurants and the Manneken Pis statue. The royal Bruxelles is up on the hill with parks and palaces and there is the third Bruxelles which is around modern offices of European Union. Visit of one of the numerous chocolate factories and tasting of famous Belgium pralines. Accommodation and overnight in Brussels.
DAY 13:
BRUSSELS - PARIS
After breakfast we continue our journey to France. In the afternoon/evening we arrive to Paris. Panoramic tour of the city: La Defense, Arc de Triomphe Champs Elysees, Place de la Concorde, Palace Chaillot, Opera Garnier,. Palace de Luxembourg, Tour Eiffel, Panteon.Accommodation in hotel. Overnight.
DAY 14:
PARIS
Breakfast. We can take a cruise on the spectacular river Seine and also give you the opportunity to climb the Eiffel Tower to have a panoramic view of this wonderful city. We drive to Montmartre for the Sacre Coeur, Place du Tertre and Moulin Rouge. Then on to Ille de la Cite and the world famous Notre Dame Cathedral, with time for shopping on the banks of the Seine. Overnight.
DAY 15:
PARIS
Breakfast. Driving to the airport. End of our expedition.
