OVERVIEW
Enjoy in a picturesque place surrounded by an unforgettable backdrop of mountains, it lies on the edge of Triglav National Park at an altitude of 810 meters and in the immediate vicinity of the tri-border area between Slovenia, Austria and Italy.
KRAJNSKA GORA
Kranjska Gora is renowned as the best year-round entertainment, sporting and recreational centre in the Julian Alps. Winter dons a snowy backdrop on Kranjska Gora, while the summer seasons are pleasantly refreshing.
The village is removed from large cities and their accompanying hustle and bustle and, with its unspoiled nature, is supremely suitable for athletes wishing to train and prepare in complete tranquility.
HOTEL KOMPAS ****
The largest hotel in Kranjska Gora lies just a stone's throw away from the village centre and right at the foot of the ski slopes. It is surrounded by sweeping hotel gardens and green meadows. The sports infrastructure at Kranjska Gora enables training camps to be organized for basketball, handball, football, volleyball and other indoor sports. The Vitranc hall is a modern sports hall built in 2005. It is located in the centre of the village, 100 to 500m from the hotels.
In addition to the indoor sports facility, Kranjska Gora also offers many outdoor sports grounds for all seasons.

ADRENALINE SPORTS:
If you want to experience kayaking, rafting or canyoning on a crystal clear river, Soča is not far away. Just go over Vršič. You can enjoy the same water sports somewhat lower, in the downstream part of the Sava River. The Alpine rivers and streams offer countless opportunities for fishing.
If all these activities do not give you your surge of adrenaline, take on alpine climbing and ascend all those peaks which served as the training ground for Slovene mountaineers before going on to conquer the Himalayas.
